Animal Therapy

At Cape Senior Services we believe that animals can be very therapeutic and therefore utilize animal therapy in some of our counseling approaches. We have tried to make our therapy offices feel inviting, warm and cozy. As such, clients will find a dog wagging its tail in hopes of sitting on the sofa with the client or a friendly bunny wanting some petting on his head.

Meet Bella

Bella is a beautiful, very sweet, 6 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She is pure love. She adores people and can never get enough attention from them. She is loyal to her brother, Bentley, and follows him everywhere. She really likes to get up very close to humans and smile.

Meet Boots

Boots is a 2 year old very sweet and friendly Holland Lop bunny. He enjoys petting, sitting in people's laps, cuddles and treats. He is a curious bunny and he likes to be where the action is. He frequents the therapy offices at Cape Senior Services. He gets along very well with Bently and Bella.

We have other Holland Lop bunnies: Beatrix, Blossom, Bean, Biscut, and Bear. They are sweet, cute as can be bunnies. Blossom is the friendliest of the bunch, but they all enjoy petting.

Meet Bentley

Bentley is a very handsome and very friendly 8 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He follows commands well and loves to show off how fast he can roll over. He also loves belly rubs. He can be scare of new people at the door and will bark, but, his tail wags as he barks and it takes him just a few minutes to become best friends with new people.
